Challenges

Page history last edited by Marianne Sheppard 6 months, 2 weeks ago

The JISC Curriculum Design and Curriculum Delivery programmes have identified a range of challenges that can be addressed through strategic and transformational use of technology.

Many of the challenges originally identified by projects reflected broad sector-wide issues such as growing student numbers, changing employer needs, and diversifying student demographics. Institutional and departmental challenges include the need for more efficient curriculum processes, balanced with the need to maintain and enhance quality, and to involve all stakeholders in the process of curriculum change. Student engagement, retention and progression have proved to be major drivers, as well as the need to offer a curriculum that reflects the changing needs of learners, and to provide flexible access using technologies both established and emergent.

You can access findings, outcomes and solutions related to each of the challenges by following the links below. You can also link directly to the benefits table from the Curriculum Delivery programme, which summarises positive outcomes from the challenges addressed by these projects.
