This publication represents the outputs and finding of a collaboration between the Higher Education Academy and JISC through the Subject Centre Distributed e-Learning Programme (DeL) 2004-2008.  Through the DeL programme the Academy was able to explore cultural and organisational issues relating to the use of technology-enhanced learning and teaching with a discipline-based approach.

 It comprised four strands of activity over two phases:

·      Promoting and exploring subject-specific issues around sharing, reuse and repurposing of content

·      Exploring the uptake and embedding of the outputs of the JISC Digitisation Programme

·      Exploring the use of ePortfolios in a subject context

·      Enhancing learning through existing eLearning tools
