IMS Learning Design is an international interoperability standard that allows learning activities and activity sequences to be expressed and shared between operating systems. Its main applications are the sharing of designs between designers - creating efficiencies in the design process - and the instantiation of designs in a run-time system which is IMS LD compatible.
