The Learning Activity Management System (LAMS) is a tool for designing, managing and delivering learning activities online. It is aimed primarily at practising teachers, offering a workflow-style visual authoring environment for creating sequences of learning activities. These can include individual tasks, small group work and whole class activities. LAMS can be used as a stand alone system with delivery taking place within the LAMS run-time environment, or in combination with other virtual learning environments such as Moodle, Sakai, WebCT and BlackBoard.
