Curriculum delivery and design are core processes of universities and colleges and as such they can be subject to workflow modelling and support. CETIS facilitated a workshop on modelling in 2009 which has links to a variety of technical outputs. The CDD projects all participated in a Process Review Modelling workshop in 2009 which also produced a number of relevant assets.
Modelling languages and technologies being used by projects to support workflow modelling include:
- BPML (Business Process Modelling Language)
- Archimate ( Archi JISC funded opensource Archimate modelling tool)
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)

Improving workflow in curriculum systems is closely related to document management. Technologies being used to support document management include the Microsoft Share Point platform which is increasingly commonplace in HEIs. It is central to a number of content management workflows and is built on by a number of projects in the Curriculum Design programme, for example ENABLE.
