Information Spaces for Creative Conversations Project

This document describes the context for the year 2 case study at City University, in terms of the course in which the information spaces were used and the work that students did with them. It then describes the technical set-up including the physical environment, provisions for audio output and video capture, the means of interacting with digital content, and the information infrastructure into which the spaces needed to be integrated, in terms of the institution’s virtual learning environment and external tools for media sharing and collaboration. It describes the ways in which information and data about the effectiveness of using information spaces in this context were collected, and presents lessons learnt in respect of context, technical set-up and other aspects of the user experience. The document concludes with an overview of plans for the future development of this work.
